An original character!

Larger version and more details can be found at my Deviantart page. :)http://probablee.deviantart.com/art/Urimee-146956868

I've also started an Opencanvas post on my Conceptart thread, where I update just that post with random doodles I make with the program. It's a good beginner-friendly program for those who like painterly effects but is unsure about Photoshop brushes and things. Just remember to switch the language from Japanese to English under the 'Help' option! :D

Back to Manga?

Only for a twidge; let's say I got inspired to do some Manga style work again. I also found some unsold Screentone in my College's shop too!

Bonus: Sketch dumps I'd prepared for contests on Worth1000. One I actually entered and got second place; the other I had to bail out of for health reasons.

Grey Boy

Just playing around with what I've learned today. (Click for the full image, it's quite big!)

Things with Chaoscope

If this isn't awesome, I don't know what is. These were created in Chaoscope, a freeware program that generates fractal art.
Check out the tutorials at the Chaoscope Site. ;)

New Sketchbook What I Drew In

Still some more on the way, as I've yet to figure out why the Macs at college make some of my pictures invalid.... :( So please enjoy what I've got so far.

Just back from seeing 'Up' in 3D, in cinema.

GO AND SEE IT. It's a brilliant film; it'd made me laugh and cry heartily. Plus you get 3D glasses to watch it with! Well done, Pixar! More like this please!

Alchemy - art what I made with it.

Alchemy's a freeware graphics program used for initial vector-based sketches, but by itself, I find, that it creates its own beauty. Pretty nifty brush FX too. :) (This was done in Mirror Mode. There is also a Microphone command that affects the brush when music/sound is played.)

For this course, I'm going to need every weapon I can get! To try Alchemy, you can subscribe and download it here: http://al.chemy.org/

Just settling in.

:D Totally enjoying my new Welsh digs here: I've already now got internet access via my laptop, and nudging my way into getting foodstuffs and shoving it into presses, and such what. I hope they really like me here.

Hereafter, I shall try to put up more work as soon as I get access to a scanner, as I hope this will be a very creativa and adventurous time for me, both personally and artistically.

.... ie. Might be going 'pro' with my blog soon. D:

Work 'xperience.

Starting my day tomorrow at Cartoon Saloon, the famous animation studio based in Kilkenny. It's all for my market enterprise research, and discover the inner workings of an animation studio, as well as my role as a concept artist after college. In return I will have the task of Inking and Painting animation cels.

And yes, I may walk out of there drawing in their house style. :3 I should post more art up here soon.

Pegbar Event among other things

Just wanted to thank Ben and everyone for hosting a great afternoon of animation talks at Filmbase: thank you Ben and everyone! It was nice meeting everyone again and knowing how far their careers have been insanely pushed beyond human reckoning. D: I saw concept work for Cartoon Saloon's next feature, Song of the Sea, which by clever marketing ought to push sales of cute seal/Selkie plushies. :D

And kudos to these guys opposite the Scientology church on Abbey Street:

... why is it that when I click and drag pictures around in Edit Posts that they don't enlarge when clicked on? It's a waste of image hosting space. C'mon, Blogger! >:(

A quick rendition of Lightning from the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII. I'm still amazed at how her expression came out.

Life Drawing: Portrait(s)

Same model, different angles, et voila!

Unaccounted Daze mini comic

Warning: this story is by no means life-affirming, semi-fictonal or properly researched / I drew it on the spur.

... well, the really 'real' bit was the job centre interview...
